IOHVA is currently planning a 2009 statewide off-road trail ride called RIDE ILLINOIS. Originally we had planned to take 9 consecutive days in June and travel the whole state as a group. Since then, we have decided to break up the trail ride into 3 weekends and 3 regions within the state so that everyone will have an opportunity to participate at some level. Check out IOHVA’s website for the CENTRAL and NORTH REGION riding schedule - www.rideoffroadillinois.org.
SOUTH REGION - May 23-25
- Williams Hill Pass – Rudement
- Little Egypt – Crab Orchard
- Coyote ATV – Coulterville
Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA)
We are officially Illinois’ first OFF ROAD CMA Chapter. On Sunday, April 19th, Williams Hill Pass will host the 2009 kickoff for ATV’s. Following the 9 AM outdoor morning worship service, the Narrow Path Riders will offer a guided trail ride to Ole’ Windy Campsite for the “Blessing of the ATV’s.” This chapter is in the process of building three crosses at that site. The CMA offers other “Blessing of the ATV’s” throughout the year, which are listed on the Williams Hill Pass 2009 Schedule. The normal itinerary includes a 7:30 a.m. Breakfast at the Pavilion; 9AM Outdoor Worship Service (CMA); 10AM Guided Trail Ride to “Blessing of the ATV’s”; 12 Noon Lunch at the Pavilion; 1PM Special Event(s).
Chapter meetings are held the 4th Saturday of each month at Williams Hill Pass. Contact Jimi Williams at williamshillpass@wildblue.net to become involved and receive special event alerts.
